As promised, here is a picture of my mango pie.

Ingrediants are simple: sugar, flower, cinnamon and butter. I bake mine for an hour and five minutes, plus or minus five minutes anyhow. I also set my oven to 450 degrees and put the pie on the top shelf.

Ovens are all different, so figure out whether yours runs on the hotter or cooler side.

I'll divulge my specific ingrediants soon.

Fun Pies By Garrett Biggs

Post by Garrett Biggs

I will update this with various pie recipes I like, but for now try a simple Mango pie. Yep, mango. It's a fruit not many Americans have associate with pie, but it bakes like peach and has a similar consistency and taste.

My favorite recipe calls for a small amount of butter, sugar, cinamon and flower. I also include either a touch of lemon juice or lime juice. This pie bakes even better with slightly unripened (i.e. hard) mangos. Most people love this pie.
